Shaping your Eyebrows

The results of Threading is much cleaner as it will remove small and fine hair. The thread will pick up and pluck out hair that is as small as an eighth of an inch. The more threading you do, the finer the hair re-growth will be and is an excellent alternative to shaving.

There are no unpleasant after effects to Threading and people with sensitive skin will find it a reliable and effective hair removal option. It is also extremely precise and accurate and will remove hairs in a straight line. Hence you can shape your eyebrows to enhance your looks such as making your eyes look bigger or balancing un-proportional features.

If you’re trying to shape your eyebrows at home, you will need a pair of fine-tipped scissors, tweezers, a mascara brush, an eyebrow pencil and most important of all, a good mirror. Do this the old fashioned way ie by tweezing them off as Threading requires someone to hold your skin taut for you.

Start off by combing your eyebrows with the mascara brush and trim off any bits of hair that sticks out. Then draw the outline of the eyebrow shape that you like. Once you are satisfied with the shape of the eyebrow, start tweezing off the extra hair that is not within the outline you have drawn.

Remember that it is natural to have tapering ends, even at the beginning of the eyebrow near the bridge of the nose. If you like having the Cliffs of Dover at the beginning and you have thick and bushy eyebrows, try this trick – thin out the beginning of the eyebrows ever so slightly and leave the middle of the brow thicker and darker.

To balance the eyebrows, rest the eyebrow pencil against your nose and point the end towards the end of your mouth and the tip towards the tear duct. The tip of where the pencil points is where you should start your eyebrow. Any hair before that point should be tweezed off.

Then position the pencil diagonally from the centre of the mouth towards the outer rim of your iris. The tip of the pencil is where your arch should be. To find the end of the eyebrow, place the pencil diagonally from the outer end of the mouth towards the opposite outer corner of the eye. The tip of the pencil is where your eyebrows taper off.
