Acne and acne scarring

Microdermabrasion can assist with acne and acne scarring by softening the appearance of existing scars. Further, it will limit future scarring as the process removes dead skin and bacterial buildup as well as excessive oil production thus killing the bacteria that causes active acne.

Microdermabrasion can also assist with chickenpox scars.

Skin pigmentation and sun damaged skin

Skin pigmentation creating freckles, age spots or skin patches can be the result of too much time in the sun.  Microdermabrasion can assist with skin pigmentation by lightning its appearance. A sun skin care routine will also be recommended.

Rosacea and redness

Facial redness is often caused by blood vessels that are dilated. Microdermabrasion can assist in reducing the appearance of facial redness by calming the skin.

Blackheads and whiteheads

Blackheads are the result of dead skin cells and oils collecting in the opening of your skin’s pores. They produce a slight bump called a comedone. If the skin opens and there is exposure to the air, this is what causes a blackhead. If the skin over the bump remains closed, it is called a whitehead.

Microdermabrasion works by removing dead skin cells, impurities, excessive oil and bacteria from the area, creating a refined skin surface.

Fine lines and Crows’ feet and wrinkles

The vacuum action of Microdermabrasion stimulates blood flow and in turn creates plumping of the skin which is the increased collagen production and elastin. This can help fill those fine lines and wrinkles that have developed over the years.

Thick dry skin

Thick, coarse skin most often occurs in winter. Microhydrabrasion is the solution which will assist in removing the upper layers of the skin reducing skin thickness and dryness. The suction action will also promote lymphatic drainage and create a more refined look.

Enlarged, clogged or open pores

Everyone would like smaller pores. Microdermabrasion removes impurities and pollutants as well as dead skin cells from the skins pore, thus reducing its size and creating a more refined look.

Ingrown hairs

Microdermabrasion removes matter from the opening of the hair follicle which causes the hair follicle to bury itself. This is called folliculitis or more commonly ingrown hairs.

By removing the impurities which clog your skins pores. the mechanical and dissolving action of Microdermabrasion ensures ingrown hairs are not able to bury themselves.

It depends on your skin condition. We recommend once every three to four weeks.

You’ll find that microdermabrasion treatments are relatively inexpensive when you compare them to the cost of cosmetic surgery or to face creams you may have tried that haven’t given you the desired results. Microdermabrasion not only gives you an immediately more even complexion, it will help those expensive face creams to perform properly.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure and won’t damage your skin’s surface. During treatment you’ll feel very little discomfort and you won’t need to take time off work to recover. Although you’ll probably have some redness for about an hour after treatment, you can get on with your day as usual.

When you have microdermabrasion, the organic skin resurfacing grains gently polish and micro-massage your skin. Your skin will look instantly rejuvenated. You’ll also see benefits in the future from collagen stimulation, increased blood flow and a smoother skin surface. And it will help to improve the penetration and effectiveness of your usual skincare products.

Microdermabrasion is a simple, quick and convenient procedure. If you’re showing the early signs of ageing, sun exposure or you’re worried about other facial imperfections, microdermabrasion could be your answer. You can have microdermabrasion to treat the skin on your face, neck, arms and hands. Unlike treatments such as IPL, if you have darker skin, you can have microdermabrasion to treat any skin issues. Your treatment will be tailored to your skin to give immediate results – and it won’t take long. You can have it done in your lunch hour and gain a fresh, healthy looking glow in as little as 45 minutes.
