Facials & Microdermabrasion

The daily use of moisturizers, sunblock, make up and pollutants in the environment cause build up and clog your skin’s pores. Deep exfoliation that requires mechanical and dissolving action like Microdermabrasion, is the only way to eliminate these impurities.

Essential Beauty offers the latest in Microdermabrasion and Microhydrabrasion which assists with refining open pores and improving skin texture through exfoliation. Essential Beauty use Medical Grade Microdermabrasion equipment including our Crystal-less Microdermabrasion for optimum results.

Microdermabrasion is a simple solution that will instantly give you beautiful, healthy-looking skin.

Ask about Crystal less Microdermabrasion also!

The process is similar to Microdermabrasion above. However, in Crystal-less Microdermabrasion, diamond tipped attachments (rather than crystals) are used to gently polish the skins surface to create deep exfoliation increasing blood flow and also collagen and elastin production.

The process delivers uniform exfoliation to all areas of the face.

What happens during microdermabrasion…?

  • Your therapist will conduct a patch test on your forehead or some other part of your body to check your comfort level for the vacuum suction.
  • Your therapist will treat your forehead first and work slowly down your face.
  • She may gently stretch out your skin to make sure the suction is applied evenly as she moves across your face.
  • Once the vacuum part of the treatment is over, your therapist will thoroughly wipe your face.
  • Your therapist will massage a mineral mask onto your neck and face and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
  • Your therapist will remove the mask with a damp cloth.
  • Your therapist will apply 1-2 drops of Microderma Care Oil and then sunblock to your skin.

If you feel one of these steps has been missed or hasn’t been done well, please stop your therapist and let her know. When you work together with your therapist, you will get the best possible results.

Do…

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or any other form of tanning.
  • Use SPF30+ sunscreen every day.
  • Use the recommended post-treatment products to help soothe your skin until it has settled completely.

Don’t…

  • Use any skincare products that contain AHAs, Retinol or exfoliating agents for 7 days.

What happens next…?

  • Your skin may feel tight and appear slightly red – this is normal and it will go away in a few hours.
  • You may find your skin looks streaked from the increased blood flow. Although this is uncommon, it will fade over a day or two.
  • Your complexion will look instantly refreshed after just the one treatment. Your fine lines will be reduced, your pores unblocked and mild acne scars and sun damage will appear less prominent. You can get even more impressive results after a series of microdermabrasion treatments.

Microdermabrasion assists in skin rejuvenation by removing the upper layers where dead cells and impurities exist, called the stratum corneum.

Similar to removing plaque from your teeth when you brush, Microdermabrasion exfoliates your face, neck and décolletage, taking pollutants and other impurities with it. This allows for skin rejuvenation and cell regrowth.

Microdermabrasion is an advanced skin care exfoliation and rejuvenation treatment which gently polishes the skin through the use of fine, diamond tipped crystals. These crystals provide an exfoliating action on the skin. Whilst in use, the vacuum suction of the device removes the crystals, dead skin cells and impurities to a holding chamber. The suction also stimulates blood flow to the area which improves collagen and elastin production and plumps the skin.

Step 5-            Remove mask

How does Microhydrabrasion work?

Microhydrabrasion is the latest in skin resurfacing technology.

The technique ensures the removal of impurities through the use of Micellar water which is applied to the skin under pressure. The processed water with dead skin cells and impurities is then sent to a holding chamber.

Benefits include increased circulation and an improvement in skin texture as well as hydration of the skin.
