How Old Should Your Child Be?

Looking After Your Child’s Pierced Ears

Aftercare is as important as the procedure to have the best outcomes after piercing. We recommend purchasing our two step Sterilear Piercing Spray system to care for your child’s piercings at home to provide the optimum healing environment!

Step 1: During 1-2 weeks after piercing, use the Clean Piercing Spray to sterile the area 2–3 times per day. Beware your child does not twist, turn or rotate the jewellery or touch the piercing, as this will remove the healing scab and may spread harmful bacteria.

Step 2: For 3-4 weeks afterwards, use the Care Piercing Spray 1-2 times per day to boost recovery and provide a bacteria-free environment.
Ear lobes generally take around 4-6 weeks to heal so it is important not to change or remove the jewellery during this time.
