Facials

There’s always time for great skin! Experience our exclusive range of 15-minute and 30-minute facial treatments with noticeable results.

Select your local salon to view facial prices. Tailored to treat your specific needs, Dalton and asap facials provide gentle yet effective results in 15 or 30 minutes. Life gets busy! Don’t underestimate the benefits of a lunch time facial!

Other facials can be time consuming and can leave your skin bright red! Our effective 15-minute or 30-minute treatments are easily accessible, have little to no downtime and give real results! Whether you enjoy these treatments only occasionally on your lunch break, or book a weekly appointment, your skin will thank you for it.

Your skin needs the benefits a facial will give. The daily use of moisturisers, sunscreen, make-up and pollutants in the environment cause a build-up of product and dead skin, clogging your pores. Our facials involve deep cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, masks and re-balancing of the skin’s pH level.  This is all extremely beneficial for our skin and allows for proper absorption of skincare.

What are the benefits of regular facials?

When receiving regular facials, you will notice improvements to skin tone, texture and appearance, as clogged and congested pores will be cleared. Facial treatments will also restore the skin’s acid mantle and pH, which helps to protect against pollutants and irritation. Many of our clients see us weekly for 15-minute facials! You should aim to have a facial every 1-6 weeks.

Immediate results will include smoother and brighter looking skin. Facials also stimulate circulation to help eliminate toxins which can reduce puffiness around the eye and cheek area.

Our 15-minute and 30-minute facials offer a quick pick me up – you are guaranteed to leave the salon feeling relaxed and refreshed!

What is the difference between a 15 and 30-minute facial?

Our facials start with a double cleanse under steam to open pores and provide a deep and thorough cleanse, removing all traces of makeup and excess dirt and oils. Your skin is then exfoliated to remove dead skin build-up which can lead to blackheads, congestion and dullness.

Extractions are performed when needed in our 30-minute facials, which safely and effectively remove pustules, blackheads and milia from the skin without damaging the pore. A mask is then applied to infuse active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin. A light lymphatic massage of the face, neck and shoulders is performed in our 30-minute treatments to help eliminate toxins and reduce puffiness. The mask is then removed and your prescribed eye cream, serums and moisturiser are applied.

What products are used during a 15 or 30-minute facial?

Before every facial treatment, a proper consultation and skin analysis is performed by your Beauty Therapist. A wood’s lamp, which uses black light to illuminate areas of your skin, is used to show oil flow, pigmentation and hydration levels in the deeper layers which are not visible to the naked eye.

Once your Beauty Therapist assesses your skin type and understands your concerns and expectations, they can tailor a Dalton or asap skincare facial to suit your needs.

Dalton and asap facials utilise active cosmeceutical products to create change within your skin. Your Beauty Therapist will explain which facial is recommended and why before starting your treatment.

What is an acid peel?

Acid peels break down the top layer of skin to help smooth and brighten your complexion and diminish the look of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. They have little to no down time and help reduce dullness, acne, scarring and pigmentation.

Asap offer a range of AHA and BHA peels targeted to a variety of skin concerns. Peels are available at selected Essential Beauty Salons and a thorough consultation from your therapist can determine which is right for you.

How to prepare for a facial

Facials require little preparation, however there are a few things to avoid for best results.

  • We recommend that you don’t have any chemical or laser peels, filler or anti-wrinkle injections, and stop the use of topical skincare containing Retinol, Retin-A, Hydroquinone or Steroids 2 weeks prior to treatment.
  • If you are using prescribed medications such as Roaccutane or high strength topical Vitamin A, your skin may not be in the condition to receive a facial. If this is the case, your Beauty Therapist will discuss alternative options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Read More FAQs
Will I breakout after my facial?

Facials can cause breakouts from time to time, especially if you have a lot of extractions. This is generally a good thing, as underlying bacteria and congestion is being purged from the skin and bought to the surface – just be sure you don’t pick or pop the pimples post-treatment. Leave the extractions to the pros.

Sensitive or acne prone skins are more susceptible to breaking out in whiteheads or pimples after a facial. It is best not to have a facial the week of an important event.

Be sure to let your therapist know about your expectations of the facial. For example, if you’re in a wedding on the weekend, extractions should not be performed. It’s up to you to let the therapist know for great results.

What aftercare products do I need for my facial?

For optimal results, combine your treatments with Dalton Marine Cosmetics or Soothe Hydrating & Cooling Serum from Essential Beauty Skin.

Your Beauty Therapist will recommend a home care plan to help maintain the results of your facial.

We recommend to always use Dalton Sun Care Sunscreen UVA/UBA Protection Cream SPF 50+ after all facial treatments to prevent photoaging by avoiding direct sun exposure, and Soothe Hydrating & Cooling Serum to relieve, replenish and balance skin. Soothe is great for use on the face and body.

Do you offer facials for acne prone skin?

Absolutely! Acne skins can benefit extremely well from regular facials. Dalton’s Oyster Skin Balancing treatment is an advanced facial for combination, oily and acne skin types. This facial is effective in decongesting the skin and improving skin tone and complexion. This is great for teens or anyone experiencing regular breakouts. Our Oyster range instantly mattifies and refines pores, and balances excess sebum production to reduce oily shine in the t-zone.
