Will my appearance change drastically if I choose to have Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers can change the profile of an individuals face to make them look much younger. Fillers can give your give your lips a ‘fuller’ look and volumize many other areas of your face that may need it (cheeks and hollow eyes for example). A good injector will do this in a natural way unless you desire something different.


Can Dermal Fillers achieve results that anti-wrinkle injections may not?

Yes, they can, but they are completely different products. Fillers are used on deeper facial lines and generally, in older individuals.


How long should I expect a Dermal Filler to last for?

It is hard to say, because we are individuals, but generally between 6-12 months.


How much do Dermal Fillers cost?

This will depend on the person, age, the ‘look’ you are trying to achieve, the area of the face you are treating and the amount you are recommended.

Generally, costing is approximately $500 for an individual facial area of treatment and over $1000 if you want multiple areas treated.


Do Dermal Filler injections hurt?

All patients differ in regards to pain threshold and different areas of the face can be more painful to inject than others. Anaesthetic is used when injecting lips and some patients have said they feel a slight ‘burning’ feeling which is short-term.


Are there any side effects I need to know about if I want Dermal Filler injections?

Because you are piercing the skin, there is a very small chance of infection and bruising. You will need confidence and trust in your injector, like you would any other medical professional. Every medical treatment, no matter how minor, has a risk attached to it.
